Introduction
We built this quartz carbon heating element for engineers who need serious infrared heat—fast, controllable, and packed into a small space. It’s a high-temp workhorse, made for quick heat-up and steady output, because when your process is running, downtime is the last thing you need.
What Makes It Tick
Here’s the thing: these elements are designed around a specific power density. A 400V, 2500W setup inside a 300mm tube concentrates the heat where you need it. That means you get snappy response and tight control over temperature. And with a 10mm diameter, the footprint stays small, so it slips easily into tight reflector setups or existing fixtures. Just be ready for the electrical punch. Plan your wiring, fusing, and cooling up front.
Built to Last
The quartz envelope takes thermal shock in stride—no cracking under pressure. Inside, the carbon filament delivers a broad infrared spectrum, so energy transfer is efficient. The halogen fill gas helps keep the filament from evaporating. That keeps output stable over long runs and cuts down on maintenance. We also added an R7s connector so you can wire it quickly and keep a solid connection, even in equipment that’s constantly vibrating. One note: the coating manages surface temperature and protects the quartz, but it still needs airflow. If you run it hot in a sealed chamber, you’ll shorten its life. Give it room to breathe.
Where It Shines
This setup is made for demanding industrial heating—PET blowing, thermoforming, coating curing, plastic welding. You get focused heat that keeps your line moving. The compact size makes retrofits straightforward. Yes, the heat density is high, and that means you need solid thermal management. Match the element to your heatsink and airflow, and you’ll get repeatable performance, shift after shift.
