
A Real-World Look at Our 560mm 1500W Carbon Fiber Lamps
If you’ve ever dealt with quartz lamps, you know they hit the surface like a hammer. They’re fast, sure, but they often scorch the outside before the inside even gets warm. That’s why we built these far-infrared (FIR) emitters. Instead of a surface blast, the heat actually soaks into your material. It’s a deeper, steadier kind of warmth. The Power Side of Things We’ve dialed in 1500W across a 560mm length. Why? Because it hits that sweet spot where you get a consistent spread of heat without burning out the carbon fiber filament. You won’t have to deal with those annoying cold spots in your heating chamber. Just a heads-up: if you’re packing a bunch of these into one array, make sure your power supply can actually handle the load. You don’t want your voltage dropping right when you need it most. Why Carbon Fiber? Metal coils can be finicky with thermal expansion. Carbon fiber is just… tougher. We wrap it in a quartz envelope to keep oxygen from eating away at the carbon, which gives you a great middle ground. It ramps up faster than those clunky ceramic heaters, but it’s much gentler than a halogen lamp. It’s perfect for drying or curing parts where one wrong move could ruin the whole piece. A Few Tips for Installation These are designed to slide right into standard FIR arrays, so the physical swap is easy. But here is the thing: quartz is fragile. If your machines shake or vibrate a lot, don’t just jam them in. Use dampened clips to hold the tubes secure, or you’re going to end up with cracked glass. And one last thing—keep in mind that FIR doesn’t hit peak temp instantly. It takes a moment longer than shortwave options. Just build that little bit of lag into your PLC timing and you’ll be golden.
